Our second hiking trip is going to take us to Bärenschützklamm, which is one of Austria’s most famous rock ravines. It has been declared as a natural treasure since 1978. The hike through that rough terrain alongside roaring waterfalls makes for a more than impressing scenery. You get a feeling for the raw power of water and nature, which digs through solid rock.

After we conquer the Bärenschützklamm, there will be a stop for lunch at a the mountain cabin. There you can rest your legs and enjoy the breathtaking view. The lunch is included in the price and the traditional Austrian dish “Schweinsbraten” (roast pork) will be served- vegetarian options are available as well.

Rested and fuelled up we will make the trip back to the train.

(For those of you who are really fit we have a peak in sight which we can hike up as well)

Good news for those of you who struggled hiking up the Schöckl: this hike is easier!
