On the 5th of May 1945 the concentration camp Mauthausen was liberated by allied armies. Since 1998 this day has been a commemoration day against racism and violence and for remembrance of the victims of National Socialism. Therefore we will organize a visit to the Mauthausen Memorial on the 5th of May in order to learn about this tragic episode of Austrian history and to commemorate the victims of the holocaust in Austria and worldwide. This trip is part of our SocialErasmus-Week from the 2nd till the 8th of May.

Premilinary programme:
We will have a guided tour around the former concentration camp and will get to know how the prisoners lived and died in the camp. You will also learn about the circumstances that led to the construction and liberation of the camp. Afterwards we will have time for a short visit in Linz.
